Is There Hope for the Philippine Economy? Can STEM Help? SHE-ensya Lecture Series

Hello Science Fans!

How can science and technology help with the Philippine economy?

In this video, we talk about the current status of labor conditions in the world and in The Philippines. We look at how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected global economies. We also look at the different indicators that the United Nations (UN) has created to help achieve Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8): Decent Work and Economy Growth. We confront the different challenges we face as we struggle to create a better working environment here in The Philippines, while also protecting our environment! And, of course, we look at existing STEM projects — such as the EcoSquadGoals Initiative of DLSU SHORE — that can help achieve economic and environmental sustainability!

So, if you want to learn more about the economy and sustainability — please check out this video!
